Role Summary – Technical Application Engineer

Reports to: General Manager and Technical Sales Director

Department: Engineering

Travel: 15–20% within Asia

The Technical Application Engineer supports industrial automation and machine vision solutions — especially 2D/3D Machine Vision, Deep Learning, and IIoT systems. The role combines technical expertise, solution design, customer training, and pre/post-sales support.

The engineer will:

• Perform technical benchmarking, analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Install and support machine vision systems at customer sites.
• Develop and deliver training classes (beginner to intermediate) to customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, suppliers, and other engineers to design effective machine vision solutions.
• Propose and implement creative technical solutions that expand LINX’s product applications.

This role bridges engineering, application development, and customer technical engagement, requiring both hands-on technical knowledge and strong communication skills.

🧩 Key Must-Have Skills and Qualifications

🎓 Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.

⚙️ Technical Skills

• Programming: C, C++, C#, Visual Basic .NET, Python, MATLAB
• Computer Vision Frameworks: OpenCV, TensorFlow/PyTorch (preferred)
• Operating Systems: Linux familiarity
• 3D Development & Image Processing experience
• Machine Vision, Embedded Vision, GPU/CPU programming experience
• Understanding of Machine Learning / Deep Learning is an advantage
