Job Purpose: The Sourcing/Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing material sourcing and purchasing to fulfill customer orders with optimal lead time and cost efficiency. This role involves supplier management for both direct and indirect materials, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery to support production.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Supplier Management: Collaborate with internal teams to identify needs and source both local and international suppliers for new and current projects. Focus on value, including price, quality, availability, and logistical requirements.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers based on capability, quality, reliability, and competitiveness, negotiating favorable terms and benchmarking to ensure BradyID remains competitive in the market.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek alternative supply channels to reduce costs, improve lead times, and enhance quality standards. Lead initiatives for cost savings and continuous improvements, including Kaizen practices.
- Supplier Contracts & Compliance: Establish and manage NDAs and supply agreements, including setting safety stock levels, handling claims, and defining lead times for materials.
- Inventory Control & SAP Management: Maintain inventory at optimal levels to meet company KPIs, ensuring data accuracy within the SAP purchasing module, including lead time, cost, and MOQ.
- Order Management: Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders, support Accounts Payable with invoice discrepancies, and expedite supplier shipments to meet production deadlines.
- Forecasting & Planning: Provide forecasts to critical suppliers, supporting assured supply and production continuity.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Quality Assurance for resolution of RMAs and NCMRs and support production requirements effectively.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Business, Materials Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or inventory management within a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and planning abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels of employees and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a resourceful and organized approach to multi-tasking.
