Job Description The Senior Manufacturing Engineer (PCBA) will be responsible for optimizing production processes, supporting new product introductions, and troubleshooting technical issues within the PCBA manufacturing line. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining rigorous quality standards to ensure production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support for all aspects of PCBA manufacturing processes, from assembly to quality assurance.
- Drive process improvements to enhance yields, reduce cycle times, and optimize production flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain, to support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues on the production line, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Implement and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and other design updates to maintain quality standards and product performance.
- Ensure all assembly and testing processes adhere to industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Train production teams on new processes and work instructions, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement activities within the PCBA line.
- Interface with contract manufacturers and vendors to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize supplier quality.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: BS degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing, with a focus on electronics or high-tech industries.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of PCBA assembly processes, equipment, and industry standards (e.g., SMT, wave soldering, reflow soldering, AOI).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex assembly lines.
- Familiarity with quality control tools, such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and 8D problem-solving.
- Experience implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manufacturing process optimization.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and liaise with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Thai and English; additional language skills are a plus.
