Business Development Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Generate leads, set appointments, and present business proposals to potential customers through various communication channels, including face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, and emails etc.
  • Identify and target potential clients in logistics and transportation industry.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through lead generation and prospecting.
  • Present logistics solutions and services to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their logistics needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and work to ensure high levels of service quality.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth and timely cargo shipments.
  • Coordinate with Finance to make sure Gross Profit and Billing process.
  • Monitor shipments and provide clients with real-time updates.
  • Resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise during transportation.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is typically required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in freight forwarding logistics or transportation industry and customs regulations.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, including prospecting, closing deals, and managing client relationship.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
