IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Windows/Mac/Linux OS deployment and support
2. User hardware/software/peripheral support
3. PC Imaging
4. Remote Support
5. LAN troubleshooting and support
6. Systems administration
7. Hardware procurement and asset management
8. Creating and maintaining documentation
9. Handling escalations by working with other teams, and escalating as necessary

 

Qualifications:

1. 4+ years hands-on IT Support experience.
2. 2+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows
3. Experience supporting Macintosh OS 10.7 or later
4. Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications
5. Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English OR Chinese
7. Proven skills in PC troubleshooting, deployment, and asset management
8. Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
9. Some exposure with Linux or Unix
10. Bachelor's degree in Computer science or IT related field
11. Industry training such as Microsoft MCSE, MCITP
12. Experience with Network equipments
13. Linux systems administration skills
14. Experience with Audio/Visual or video conferencing support
15. Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
16. Experience with server administration (Windows or Linux)
17. Must be willing to work in a fast paced and growing Japanese and global environment where some travel maybe required.
18. Ability to develop clear, concise documentation
